Kuali was established in 2020, mid-pandemic, by husband and wife duo Janeen and Rodrigo Cruz. The Kuali Colibri is a tribute to Rodrigo's mom, Mely, who is also the inspiration for the salsa recipes. The initial brand needs were a simple packaging label, with the potential to expand in the future to more products. Keeping that in mind, we designed the visual identity with simple core elements but ample expansion possibilities through patterns and colors.
